All elements reproduced or used – trademarks, photographs, texts, comments, illustrations (animated or not), video sequences, sounds, computer applications – on this site are protected by current intellectual property laws, with the exception of geographical maps (see Article 4). They are the full and complete property of the publisher and/or its partners. Any reproduction, representation, use or adaptation, in any form whatsoever, of all or part of these elements – including computer applications – without the prior written consent of the publisher, is strictly forbidden. The fact that the publisher does not initiate proceedings as soon as it becomes aware of such unauthorized use does not imply acceptance of said use or waiver of prosecution. The map creations on this site are licensed under a Creative Commons license. Maps of France by fpradignac are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 France License. The small maps use the Google Maps and OpenLayers world map base.

For the proper management of the site, the publisher may at any time :

Some of your data is collected by the association Sites & Cités remarquables de France. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify an individual.

We collect, store, process and use personal data when you subscribe to our newsletters and e-mailings (see Article 12 of this policy). We may also collect data from one or more third parties, if you are responsible for registering them for one of our events. All personal data you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate. If you provide us with inaccurate or false data, and we suspect or identify fraud, we will record it. We may collect the information defined in the Data We Collect Automatically section of this policy, and marketing communications in accordance with the Marketing Communications section of this policy. When you contact us by e-mail or post, we may keep a record of the correspondence.

8.3 AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED DATA

When you visit our website https://international.sites-cites.fr/, we, or third parties on our behalf, automatically collect and store information about your device and your activities. This information may include (a) the unique identification number of your computer or other device ; (b) technical information about your device, such as device type, web browser or operating system; (c) your preferences and settings such as time zone and language; and (d) statistical data on your browsing actions and habits. We collect this information using cookies, in accordance with the “Cookie Policy” tab on this page, and we use the information collected anonymously to improve our website, our events and the services we provide, as well as for analysis and research purposes.

8.4 LAWFUL PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We will use your personal data to fulfil our contractual obligation to contact you to deliver information about our events in accordance with any request you make and which we accept, and to deal with any queries, comments or complaints you have in relation to the event. We may also use your personal data for our legitimate interests, including to deal with the association’s services as required by you, to enforce the terms of any other agreement between us, for regulatory and legal purposes, for audit purposes and to contact you about changes to this policy.

8.5 WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR DATA?

We may share your personal data with any service providers, subcontractors and agents we may appoint to perform functions on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions, including e-mail communication providers and IT service providers.

8.6 STORAGE AND PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Your personal data cannot be stored or transferred outside the European Union (EU) since the servers of the services we use are based in the EU. We will only transfer your personal data to organizations that have provided adequate safeguards with respect to your personal data.

ARTICLE 9: E-MAILS AND NEWSLETTERS

If you’ve subscribed to our newsletter, member e-mails or press e-mails, there’s a good chance you’ll receive e-mails from us. We keep a record of your consent and will only send you e-mails that you have agreed to receive. To send you e-mails, we use the name and e-mail address you have provided. Our website also stores the IP address you used when you signed up for the service to prevent abuse of the system. This site may send e-mails via the Mail Next sending and CRM service (34 avenue colonel Robinet, 47300 Villeneuve sur Lot). This service allows us to track the clicks and openings of our e-mails. We use this information to improve the content of our newsletters and website.

ARTICLE 10: SAFETY

We will process your data in such a way as to ensure appropriate security of personal data, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organizational measures. All the information you provide is stored on our secure servers. Once we have given or you have chosen a password, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.

ARTICLE 11: CONDITIONS FOR STORING YOUR DATA

If you join the association, we will keep your personal data until you leave. If you subscribe to our e-mail communications, we will keep your personal data until you decide to stop receiving these communications. If you have contacted us with a question or comment, we will retain your personal data for 6 months after this contact to answer any further questions you may have.

ARTICLE 12: CONSULTING AND MODIFYING YOUR DATA

You have the right to obtain from us a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and to ask us to correct errors in the personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete. You also have the right to request that we delete your personal data at any time.
