About us

I’m an archaeologist and academic, but I’m also Honorary Consul of Guatemala in Fort-de-France and a member of the board of the Union des Consuls Honoraires en France (UCHF). Very involved in cultural cooperation, I have the honor of being one of the players in the twinning uniting Saint-Pierre de la Martinique and Antigua Guatemala since 2018.
I studied pre-Columbian archaeology at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, where I obtained my doctorate in 2006, and have joined several scientific institutions and learned societies. I am currently a research associate at the Centre d’Etudes Mexicaines et Centraméricaines (CEMCA), a corresponding academician at the Guatemalan Academy of Geography and History, and a member of the Société d’Histoire de la Guadeloupe.
My professional experience mainly concerns teaching, research and international cooperation. Among other things, I was educational director of the Alliance Française de Guatemala (2007-2012), lecturer at the University of the West Indies (2014-2023) and archaeologist at the Éveha consultancy (since 2015). I’ve also been Honorary Consul of Guatemala in Fort-de-France since 2016.
